| While a facelift is a distinct procedure from FFS, it's often necessary afterward to tighten up loose skin and muscle, especially if much bone is shaved away. Dr. Meltzer made incisions in front of and behind my ears, in my mouth at the gumline and just under my chin to tighten up the muscles and skin of my face and neck. Ten months later the swelling fully subsided leaving me with the face upper right above, taken three weeks before my 51st birthday. | ||
