Christine's Favorite Books and Authors

Though I'm already published, with my autobiography finally done and working on my next project, I should be a lot more well-read than I am. I've confined this selection to what I own. This was even a harder list to pick than my favorite film list, especially with both fiction and non-fiction to consider. These are books that have influenced both my spiritual philosophy, my politics and my writing style, in addition to entertaining me hugely.

Top Ten:
1. Illusions: Adventures of A Reluctant Messiah, Richard Bach
2. The Key, Cheri Huber/Zen Buddhist Center
3. Myth of the Goddess, Baring & Cashford
Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit, Daniel Quinn
5. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hunter S. Thompson
6. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams
7. The Handmaid's Tale, Margaret Atwood
8. The Stand, Stephen King
9. Homeboy, Seth Morgan
10. L.A. Confidential, James Ellroy
